El Mercedes SLS AMG It was launched on the market in 2010 and replaced the Mercedes SLR McLaren. It was the first model developed entirely by the AMG sports division. The body design was carried out by Mark Fetherson, who tried to recreate the mythical "gull-winged" Mercedes 300 SL. The upward opening of the doors is one of the main peculiarities of this Mercedes SLS AMG, although a Roadster bodywork with conventional door opening. It is two-seater and its body has considerable dimensions, with a length of 4,63 meters.

It is a rear-wheel drive model and the gearbox is always automatic with double clutch and seven relations.
A step further were the Black Series versions of 2013 with 622 horses and a weight of 70 kilos less. There was also an electric variant called SLS AMG Electric Drive, with 250 kilometers of autonomy, 751 CV of power and 1.000 Nm of torque.
At the time, Mercedes' intention with the SLS AMG was to compete with models like the 458 Ferrari Italia or certain more radical versions of the Porsche 911.
