The Renault Capture is the B-segment SUV of the French company. Presented at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, it shares a platform with the fourth generation Clio, and is manufactured in Valladolid. In 2017 it received a restyling.

The French SUV's motorization offer is quite extensive, with six different engines. As for gasoline, the 0.9 TCe with 90 hp, the 1.2 TCe with 120 hp and the 1.3 TCe with 150 hp are available.

The diesel offer is composed by a 1.5-horsepower 90 dCi engine, a 1.5-horsepower 90 dCi engine that Renault calls eco2, and the most powerful variant, a 1.5-horsepower 110 dCi propeller.

Renault eco2 certification means that the vehicle is capable of emitting values ​​of less than 140 g/km of CO2, and that it is manufactured in an industrial plant certified to ISO 14001.

Regarding gearboxes, the 120 and 150 hp TCe engines, along with the 90 hp dCi, are the only ones capable of mounting Renault's EDC automatic gearbox. While the manual gearboxes differ in two, 5-speed, available in the TCe 90 hp, dCi 90 hp and dCi 90 hp eco2, while the 6-speed gearboxes are available in the dCi 110 hp, TCe 120 hp and TCe 150 hp.
