El Renault fluence hit the market in 2010 as a replacement for the Renault Mégane sedan, although its platform takes as its starting point that of the contemporary Renault Mégane and shares many elements with it. Its body measures Meters long 4,61 and the cabin is for five passengers, with a trunk space of 530 liters.

The supply of engines for the Renault Fluence has been changing over time, but in its last marketing period in Spain it was available with gasoline engines 1.6 16V with 110 hp and the 1.5 dCi with 110 and 95 hp of power, all with manual gearbox. Between 2011 and 2014 Renault also marketed the Fluence ZE, an electric variant with 95 horsepower and a range of 185 kilometers.

The Renault Fluence offers items of equipment such as dual-zone climate control, rain and light sensors, front and rear parking sensors, keyless entry and start, or the Renault R-link multimedia system.
