Models SWM Motors

More and more Chinese manufacturers are making the leap to the European market encouraged by the commercial situation. The new era of sustainable mobility has been a breath of fresh air for a very closed industry that is not very friendly to change. To the already long list of brands and models has been added SWM Motors, a newly born manufacturer whose base of operations is located in Chongqing, China. Its initials come from the abbreviation: Speedy Working Motors.

The founding date is July 27, 2016, two years after the purchase of the SWM brand, a well-known motorcycle company from Milan, Italy. Thanks to this acquisition, the company, now Chinese, maintains its design center in the original Italian facilities, although the assembly lines and headquarters are set in China, with exports to various markets proceeding from there. From the end of 2021, Spain is also included.

Its product range is short, focusing on two models: SWM-G01 y SWM G01F. Two SUVs that target the main market niche in Europe, the C-SUV segment. Although the image of each one is very reminiscent of other European models, SWM Motors focuses mainly on the price-product ratio. An interesting range that, thanks to a contained price, wants to win over an important mass of customers in all the markets where it is present.

In Spain its commercial journey comes from the hand of the Invicta Motors Group, known importer of other Asian manufacturers such as DFSK extension. The goal is to position itself as a major player in the low-priced SUV segment. In the coming years, it will continue to extend its presence throughout our geography, installing commercial points in the main cities, and offering a greater range of models.
