We know very well that the United States is the country par excellence of V8s, but what we could not even imagine is that a brand would reach the point that Chevrolet has just reached with its new Corvette ZR1 2025. This American supercar debuts the most powerful eight-cylinder engine ever produced on American soil... The figures are even dizzying.
The block in question, known internally with the code LT7, is a 8-liter DOHC V5,5 with double overhead camshaft and flat-plane crankshaft that incorporates two turbochargers to declare a whopping 1.064 hp power and 1.122 Nm of maximum torque.
Corvette ZR1 2025, the king of the American V8s
Thus, The new Corvette ZR1 reaches a top speed of 350 km/h and, according to General Motors, it is capable of completing the quarter mile (a distance equivalent to 402 meters that is frequently used in the US for performance measurements) in less than 10 seconds.
Being the ZR1 version, which is the most radical of the entire Corvette range, the model equips a specific aerodynamic package which provides up to 544 kg extra load at maximum speed. Therefore, the enormous air inlets and outlets that we see on the front, the Splitters and the rear diffuser or the colossal spoiler -many of these elements made of carbon-, in addition to enhancing the visual part, perfectly carry out a more than necessary functional mission.

The new generation Corvette ZR1 will join the Stingray, Z06 and E-Ray (the latter a hybrid) that already make up the current range of the legendary American sports car starting in 2025, when the first units of the company begin to come out.
