This block generates a power of 61 kW, which is 83 of the old horsepower. To that we must add a maximum torque of 210 Nm available from a standstill. Volkswagen has certified that said set homologates a WLTP cycle autonomy of 258 km, with an estimated average cost of 14,5 kWh per 100 kilometers.

In the always delicate moment of recharging, the brand states that It can recover from 10 to 80% of the charge in just one hour if we connect the car to a 40 kW outlet. That time extends up to twelve and a half hours if we plug it into a 2,3 kW domestic outlet, or up to four hours if we plug it into a 7,2 kW Wallbox.

Equipment of the Volkswagen e-up!

The Volkswagen e-up! It is a concept car and urban use. The segment A have always been elusive to two issues. The first is in terms of qualities. We cannot wait for the finishes of a Volkswagen Touareg, and therefore we have an interior composed mainly of hard plastic but well finished.

The second issue is the equipment. To move around the city you do not need great luxuries, and Volkswagen knows it. For that reason the e-up! It has discreet but sufficient equipment. It has two levels: e-up! and e-up! style. In the base finish we do not find many elements, so if we want more comfort we have to jump to the upper level.

There we have 15-inch wheels, type 2 charging cable, climate control, central locking, rain sensor, digital radio and some other trinket. There are no displays or screens to keep the price accessible, but it does have next generation connection for mobile devices, and a discreet display of driving assistants.

Euro NCAP safety tests evaluate each model on sale in Europe with the intention of standardizing crash tests and ratings. With grades ranging from zero to five stars, the Volkswagen e-up! get three of them.
