Ford will soon present its first electric SUV with Volkswagen technology

Throughout the month of March of 2023, Ford will launch its first electric car based on the Group's MEB platform Volkswagen. It will do it with a format of SUV body and a range of approximately 500 km (WLTP cycle). It is not yet public, but it is unofficial information that has come out of the Michigan company itself. This project would have started in the summer of 2020, at which time a collaboration between the North American brand and the German manufacturer to take advantage of its various and great synergies within the framework of industrial and technical developments.

The dimensions of the new model would be similar to those of the Ford Kuga current, with a length close to 4,60 meters. In his message, he indicated how impatient he was to present the first product of the blue oval firm with these new features. It will be built in Cologne (Germany) from this same financial year 2023.
