All the Car Brands they maintain their fight to take the biggest part of the cake in all the scenarios, that cake being the total number of car buyers. In this case we are going to review which have been the best-selling brands in Europe during the first half of 2022.
Before going over all the numbers, it is important to note that the brands that have progressed the most in these first six months of 2022 have been Kia, Hyundai, Dacia, Tesla and Cupra, advancing several positions. As can be seen in the table above, in this first semester there have been some other changes in the podium. It is true that Volkswagen He is still leading by a huge margin, but has lost a good number of units. However, even more remarkable is that Toyota has surpassed Peugeot , exchanging second and third place. Immediately after they appear BMW, Mercedes y Audi, keeping the Bavarian brand in fourth position and having overtaken both the star and the four rings Renault, which falls to seventh place.
As we said at the beginning, there has been a great progression of Kia -advances 5 positions-, Dacia -advance 3-, Hyundai, Tesla y Cupra -which advance 4-. Not so happy they will be in Renault, Skoda, Fiat o Citroën, which have lost several positions in this first half of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021. In any case, let us not forget that although the volume of cars sold decreases, profitability is what matters most to the company.
On the other hand, the upper table leaves us curiosities like that Porsche sells many more cars than Honda, or that Lancia, a brand that is only sold in Italy and that only markets the Ypsilon model, is far ahead of Lexus, Jaguar or Alfa Romeo.
