The Japanese brand has just announced that over the next two years they will launch two new SUV models on the European market. They will be the Mazda CX-60 and Mazda CX-80 the new products that we will see in dealerships, arriving as two large SUVs.
The Japanese firm comments that both European models will generate growth in the medium and long term in the company. The main detail is that they will be the first plug-in hybrids de Mazda in Europe, although they do not specify specific data. They also make it clear that they will premiere the Skyactiv-X six-cylinder engine online, as well as the Skyactiv-D diesel with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system.
But these are not the only plans that the brand has communicated. They add that during the first months of 2022 there will be a extended range variant of its electric Mazda MX-30. Or what is the same, the rumor of the MX-30 with a rotary engine whose function is to work as an electric power generator is confirmed.
Looking a little further into the future, Mazda also makes it clear that around 2025 it will present a new series of vehicles based on a specific platform for electric cars. Thus, they will take the first steps towards the goal of completing the electrification of their entire range by 2030.
Regarding the smaller models, we know that the Mazda2 will be renewed taking the base and components of the Toyota Yaris, understanding that the same recipe could be applied to Mazda CX-3, that is, inherit the components of the new Toyota yaris cross. In turn, the CX-5 It will be renewed at the beginning of 2022.
To top it off, and already speaking outside the European market, the company will launch the CX-50, CX-70 and CX-90 models for the United States, also reaching some other markets but not Europe.
