Interesting news in the SsangYong Tivoli and XLV range

ssangyong tivoli

Although SsangYong Tivoli and XLV do not get great sales records in our country compared to other models, both are fundamental pillars in the company and, as is logical, the brand updates them and polishes their details every time they have the opportunity. And it is not for less, since the Tivoli is its best-selling model. The XLV, for its part, is practically the same model, only with a longer body.

The South Korean brand intends to give a new commercial boost to these two vehicles with some major improvements. This update is reflected on an aesthetic level, in the incorporation of new mechanical versions, in greater ecology, more connectivity and technology, as well as in new active safety systems. Let's go by parts.

Cosmetic changes for the SsangYong Tivoli

SsangYong Tivoli profile

It is clear that it is not a new generation, nor is it a very deep restyling. This time it is an update to shine and polish those details that were previously improvable. The good thing is that there are many aspects that are partially renewed, so the end result is pretty good.

Aesthetically, funfair receives a front bumper with new fog lights and some chrome accents. At the rear there is a slight redesign of the lower area of the bumper, also adding chrome inserts. A new color is also added to the palette, the Orange Pop.

More security

SsangYong Tivoli descent control

Both the Tivoli and the XLV benefit from an important active safety system, and that is that both receive serial autonomous emergency braking in all versions in town. It will also be of great importance, especially for those more adventurous who leave the black asphalt from time to time, the descent control on slopes, which allows you to go down a ramp at a controlled speed -between 5 and 30 km/h- without having to touch the brake.

Following with security and assistants, the Limited trim level is now equipped with 7 airbags and all the set of systems security SsangYong SASS, which includes Collision Risk Warning, Lane Departure Alert, Lane Keeping, High Beam Assist and Sign Recognition. On the other hand, this same finish incorporates a function in the smart key that closes the car automatically when it moves 2 meters away from the vehicle.

Connectivity improvements

SsangYong XLV side profile

Today it seems that you are outdated if you do not have a large screen both on your mobile and on the dashboard of your car. The SsangYong Tivoli and XLV now introduce Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for the 8-inch screens in the Premium and Limited trim levels, thus synchronizing our smartphones. They also include hands-free, iPod docking and USB sockets, as well as a Phillips radio tuner.

ECO range, LPG to be cleaner and provide greater autonomy

Tivoli and XLV offer mechanical versions out of the box that can use both gasoline and LPG. In addition to being more respectful of the environment and allowing us to go through the gas station less frequently, the DGT grants them the eco label, so they have significant advantages when it comes to parking in regulated parking areas in cities such as Madrid, as well as accessing their interior on anti-pollution protocol days.
