The official debut of the new Porsche Cayenne is getting closer. It will be on April 18 when the German brand removes the canvas and shows the world how the final design of its bodywork has turned out. But a large part of their secrets were already revealed a few days ago when they published a series of images in which you could see part of your cabin. Well, now they're back with more top-notch graphic material...
In the header image you can see part of the front of the new Porsche Cayenne. With this photo they make sure that the hype is going to be maximum because the launch of this model is essential for the German house. Such is so the debut event will take place at the Auto Shanghai 2023 which will open its doors in a matter of days. The fact is that China is a key market for the Cayenne and the brand and they do not want to disappoint the clientele they have…
The new Porsche Cayenne is more Taycan than ever, you just have to see its front and optics...
As expected, the renewal of the Porsche Cayenne will not be radical but rather continuous. That is, the designers from the Zuffenhausen house have opted to give a twist to the aesthetics that the Taycan already sports. Yes, because the optics are very similar, including the interior arrangement of elements. so there is 16.384 individually controllable micro-LEDs which offers a lighting power of almost 600 meters.
As Porsche has stated, these optics are more efficient because they only turn on the necessary LEDs. Being a pair of optics, each lighthouse includes four modules that have the daytime running lights in the upper area. The heights are the same and include the auxiliary road function and courtesy lighting. The lower modules are for different functions such as anti-fog or turning light. If anything, they are very similar in form and function to those of the Taycan.
The grille also looks new, with a wider opening to oxygenate the engine.. It is crossed by horizontal slats with chrome edges that extend to below the optics. Just the ones that go in this area have an illuminated tab that could be used for flashing or as secondary daylight. Last too part of the wheel arch can be seen as well as little of the rear-view mirror of the driver.
There are no images of the rear, although everything indicates that it will follow the path of continuity. All in all, Porsche seeks to give a coup with a successful model that will maintain diesel, gasoline and some type of electrification versions in its range. All versions will have an 8-speed automatic transmission associated with AWD all-wheel drive. With everything, we will leave doubts in a few days, although a leak still makes our soul happy...
