Vazirani Ekonk: The fastest supercar ever made in India

Vazirani Ekonk

Usually when we talk about indian car industry, we refer to one or two manufacturers. The best known and most international is Tata Motors, because among its firms are Jaguar and Land Rover. The second is the giant Mahindra, responsible for the fact that SsangYong can end up in the "ditch". Maruti-Suzuki they are the third parties in discord, although by sales volume they are snacking on the previous ones. But there are more, although they are smaller.

One of the manufacturers that has surprised us the most, for not having it located, is Vazirani Automotive. Until today we had not heard of him, but it seems that they have been working on this project for a while. Its founder is Chunky Vazirani, former employee of Rolls-Royce and Jaguar Land Rover who decided to fulfill his dream: to manufacture his cars. The first is called Vazirani Ekonk and, according to the announcement, it will give a lot to talk about.

The Vazirani Ekonk accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 2,54 seconds...

First of all, clarify that it is not the first Vazirani model, since two more concepts have preceded it. However, it is the first that has been put to the test in real validation tests. The design of the Ekonk is rather that of a vehicle destined for the circuit, but its technique could well reach a street model. According to its creators, it is endowed with a electric powertrain which offers a final yield of 531 kW or what is the same 722 CV.

Thanks to its size, internal structure and body entirely made of carbon fiber, sign a final weight of 738 kilos. In this way, it can offer acceleration worthy of a supercar. Vazirani says that it is the fastest supercar that has ever been manufactured in India and from the data he gives it could be so. If there is no error, and they would have already tried it, it would accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 2,54 seconds.

Another of the "advantages" of this Indian electric supercar would be in the battery cooling system. The formula used is called DiCo and it is by air instead of liquid, which is the solution that all manufacturers are adapting. Apparently, this technology is based on biomimicry that some animals use to regulate their body temperature. However, the details remain here, because those responsible have not offered more data.

What they have wanted to talk about is their commercial name. Ekonk, according to Hindu tradition, would mean something like "the beginning of divine light" so they consider it as the beginning of their activity. Finally, it should be noted that the Ekonk is undergoing tests on the high-speed track located in Natrax (Indore), although it may not reach the assembly line. Of course, the technology used could see the light in another street model...
