Models Caterham
Caterham is the only brand in the automotive sector that has a model on the market like the Seven. This model was born as an evolution of the third generation of the Lotus Seven that Colin Chapman's firm launched on the market in 1968. His handcrafted, spartan design, fair technology and light and reactive chassis have made this model one of the favorites for the most passionate drivers.
The Seven is the only model that has the signature at present, although its range is divided into three variants. The most affordable is Seven 165. It has a 600 cubic centimeter Suzuki origin engine that produces 80 hp at 7.000 rpm. Its low weight of only 490 kilos allows it to offer dynamic behavior at the height of the most established sports cars.
The second variant of the model Seven is 275. In this case, the engine is the 1.6-liter gasoline from the Ford Sigma family. The power produced by this engine is 135 hp at 6.800 rpm, allowing it to stop the clock from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 5 seconds. Regarding the Seven 165, its weight grows to 875 kilos, although their dynamic level and sports sensations do not affect them in the least.
The 485 family closes the Caterham Seven range. Like the 275, it also incorporates Ford-source mechanics, although in this case it is the 2-litre Duratec family with 240 hp. Its benefits, for the 850 kilos that the model weighs, are dizzying, because covers 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3,4 seconds. In addition, the maximum speed that it is capable of reaching is 225 kilometers per hour.
