He will face the 1 F2023 championship together with Lance Stroll, in the team Aston Martin. So he will say goodbye to his current team, Alpine, and his teammate Esteban Ocon. The Alpine team has improved a lot lately and it seemed that Fernando would renew with the Gauls for the following season, instead, Fernando wanted several years in his contract and the French team only offered him one. However, we must not forget that they are a Mercedes client team, and not Mercedes itself... But it is also true that they have money and have signed great key players.
