The reborn Italian firm Apollo Automobile He is finalizing what will be his star model. However, as has happened with the commercial launch of several models (among which we can count the Audi R8), its official presentation to the public and specialized press is taking a long time. On the opposite side, those responsible for the firm they do not stop releasing, from time to time, new teasers that help us continue to maintain interest in the car.
This model known as "Titan" has changed its name to that of IE Hypercar. For a while we doubted the meaning of the letters IE, but not long ago we discovered that they stand for Intensa Emozione. With such a name, it is not surprising that what the firm promises is fulfilled: infarct benefits and sportsmanship on all four sides. To do this, IE Hypercar would be developed by Manifattura Automobili Tornio (MAT) and would be powered by an atmospherically aspirated gasoline engine in V12 configuration.
According to those responsible for the brand, the IE Hypercar would deliver a power greater than 800 hp and more than 700 Nm of maximum torque. It is true that these figures are not heart-stopping, since there are hyper sports cars with better numbers, but what really matters in these cars is their weight, chassis tuning and aerodynamics. In addition, Norman Choi, president of Apollo Automobil, has commented that the IE will be limited to circuits only, so its sportsmanship should be beyond question.
As a sample of what we can find, soon, we have the Concept Arrow which was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2016. This model mounted a bi-turbo gasoline engine with 4 liters of displacement, V8 configuration and a power of 1.000 hp. In addition, its weight was relatively low for the type of car presented, as it weighed about 1.300 kilos on the scale. With such potential, it was not surprising that it reached a top speed of 360 kilometers per hour and accelerated from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 2,9 seconds.
