The Ares Project Panther will have a Spider version before the end of 2019

Ares Design Project Panther

It was a couple of days ago that we introduced you to the Ares Design Project Panther. With this model, the Italian design studio paid a heartfelt tribute to the De Tomaso Pantera from the 70s of the last century. Nevertheless, Danny Bahar, CEO of the brand, wants to increase its offer and for this, a special version would be on the way. How could it be otherwise, it would lack a roof and therefore, we would be facing the version Spider.

The controversial Swiss businessman, former CEO of Lotus, has confirmed the arrival of this version in an interview for Top Gear. In his words, the production of the Project Panther is appraised at 70 units for a term of 5 years. Of them, a part will be in version Spider, therefore, confirms the arrival of this version. Therefore, the first units would already be ready to reach the first owners, a fact that will take place between April and May.

The Spider version will arrive before 2020

The problem is that we still don't know what the design of the next Panther version. According to Bahar, the Project Panther Spider It will be revealed before the end of this year. Apparently the official presentation would take place a few months after the delivery of the first units. If so, you could go to Pebble Beach or some date where potential, and wealthy, buyers meet.

The idea they pursue is that their entry into production be carried out in 2020. Furthermore, and as with the Lamborghini Huracán, have also thought of creating a Performante version intended for circuits. This version would still be up in the air, as Bahar would not want an excessively fast vehicle, but rather one focused on the driving pleasure.

Therefore, if it were a reality, it might not be faster or more radical than the Huracán Performant. We will have to be attentive to possible news, because Ares design is consolidating its path. We will be patient, because keeping the design seen in the Panther could become a limited sales success. Let's hope that now Dany Bahar focuses and the same thing doesn't happen with Lotus.
