If you do a little memory you will remember that in July 2021 we told you that Bentley celebrates the first 1.000 special Mulliner creations. Well, just over a year has passed and the Crewe house returns to tell us that they have reached a new milestone, although in this case limited to the year 2022. According to their official press release, during this year Mulliner has carried out a total of 500 special preparations.
Maybe you think that developing 500 special preparations is too little for a full year.. But there is an important fact that will help you understand and put into perspective the importance of such an achievement. To finish the first 1.000 Mulliner units, Bentley worked between the years 2014 and 2021. Therefore it is a milestone to review that few premium firms have been able to match throughout its history. And most importantly, with equal success.
So to celebrate unit 500 of 2022 Mulliner fulfills the order of a British client. The chosen model is a Flying Spur S Hybrid finished in new Spark Blue shade. By way of contrast, it sports a set of trims belonging to the Blackline specification that replaces the traditional chrome. And don't forget to mount some 22-inch ten-spoke black alloy wheels and the illuminated Flying B logo.
The changes that the interior looks are more sumptuous. Upholstery is Beluga leather with diamond quilting and Klein Blue accents. In addition, the carbon fiber, with a shine, extends through different areas that go from the dashboard to the doors or the central tunnel. Lastly, the ventilation outlets, control bezels and other accessory knobs have a polished finish.
