BMW is one of the brands that has most opted for electrification. Since it launched the i3 and i8 on the market, it has not stopped researching and innovating to provide its models with the best technology. The result is a change in positioning to offer what the market demands: SUVs. The first was the iX3 and, after him, it is the turn of the most capable Bmw iX. With it they intend to put the all-powerful Audi e-tron and Jaguar I-Pace on the ropes.
Since the last time we could see the BMW iX, some time has passed. In these months the Bayerische has been testing it so that it is to the taste of its most demanding customers when it reaches the market. Well, it seems that those tests are over because have announced their landing in Spain. As expected, it does not have a very generous range, but what will not be missing is a level of finish, technology and equipment worthy of its price.
The BMW iX is available in Spain in two versions and two other finishes...
Yes because As a good BMW, the official starting price of the iX is not available to anyone. Before taking a look at the attached table (where we detail them well), we will tell you what their endowment is like. There are two versions as standard. xDrive40 y xDrive50 which, in turn, split into two. That is, for each one there are two levels of finishes available. Its name is very simple and straightforward: Base (serial) and Sports Package (sports package).
Serial the Base finish includes elements such as aerodynamic wheels, led headlights, bi-zone climate control with nozzles for the rear seats and led taillights. As for active driving aids, it offers the latest brand technology. They will not miss Driving Assistant, ActiveGuard, Active protection o Parking Assistant with Active Parking Distance Control and reversing camera among others...
On the other hand, when accessing the finish Sports Package, the brand offers a sportier customization. Thus, it includes as standard elements such as 3-inch polished 21D bicolor aerodynamic wheels, sport brakes with blue painted calipers or special design side steps in Black. Regarding the interior, it adds gadgets such as BMW Live Cockpit Plus with BMW Curved Display or BMW Operating System 8 with Navigation.
Price table…
If we take into account the endowment of the BMW iX and its technological possibilities we must be fair and recognize that its price is in line with its rivals. We do not like that a product of this type escapes from our hands, but being a premium electric SUV of this caliber requires this positioning. will have to wait to try it to decide if, despite everything, it is a good purchase Or, if, as happens to many of its rivals, autonomy makes it puncture...
