Although we all know Jaguar for its luxury sedans, we must not forget that the legendary English house has a lot of sporting experience behind it. The Jaguar F-Type born as the natural successor of the disappeared Jaguar XK. In this way, the English house remains in the passionate segment of European sports coupes.
The first time we heard of him was in the Frankfurt Motor Show of the Year 2011. At that time Jaguar He showed us a prototype, a first sketch of what would end up being the F-Type. Finally the C-X16 Concept got rid of its format to make way for the production model just a year later.
The formula followed by the Jaguar F-Type could not be more classic. Front engine, rear wheel drive and cabin for two passengers. The success has been overwhelming, and that is why at the beginning of 2020 the English launch a restyling on the market, a second commercial cycle wash with some technical improvements.

Measurements are cropped: 4,47 meters long, 1,92 meters wide and 1,3 meters high. Measures that give us just enough space for its two occupants to take shelter inside. There is also no room to spare in a trunk that reaches 310 liters of capacity.
Jaguar puts up for sale two possible bodies. On the one hand the coupé model, and on the other the most passionate Jaguar F Type Convertible. A retractable soft top replaces the hardtop and reveals your world in seconds. The only downside is the excess weight caused by the mechanism and that the trunk is reduced in size to 2o7 liters.
Jaguar F-Type mechanical range and gearboxes
The Jaguar F-Type was born to be a high-performance sports car. At the moment the house is not committed to offering solutions with some type of electrification, and therefore all units mount gasoline engines. A range that mounts blocks of four cylinders in line or more outstanding V8.
The power range is very wide. We start with the P300 version and its four-cylinder block that develops 300 CV. From there we went to the mounts of V8 with power steps of 450 and 575 horses for the top-of-the-range version, the P575, which is always accompanied by the letter R. None of the five-liter V8 blocks is particularly thrifty, marking approved consumption of up to 10,9 liters per 100 kilometers traveled.
The rear axle is in charge of receiving all the energy from the engine in the access version. The V8 mechanics can have a RWD scheme as standard for the P450 or an AWD drive for the P575. Optionally the P450 can also mount an all-wheel drive. For change the options are more limited since Jaguar forces us to always equip a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission.

In the best case the Jaguar F-Type has a starting price of 82.600 euros, without offers or promotions for the coupé body and 91.100 euros for the convertible.
