electric car sales in the world still not enough not even close to a tenth of the ones that get the cars moved by derivatives of petroleum. China is the country in the world in which the largest number of car sales are obtained and, as logic indicates, it is the one in which the largest number of electric cars are sold at the end of the year. As proof of this, the main car brands in the world are interested in having a car powered by electricity in this market.
In Europe and the United States electric cars little by little they find their place but at a lower rate than initially expected. The key to the sale of this type of car is a reasonable price and the appearance of aid provided by the authorities so that the high starting prices are reduced in order to make them more attractive in the eyes of drivers.
Since 2010, the year in which the first electric-powered vehicles began to be sold in China, have accumulated a total of 645.000 vehicles enrolled. If we compare these figures with those of Europe and the United States, we can see that the difference with our continent is around 30.000 units in favor of China. In the case of the United States, the gap is larger and stands at 70.000 fewer electric cars in the country of Uncle Sam.
to these numbers we must also add the 200.000 commercials, light trucks and buses powered by electricity that have already been registered in the land of the rising sun. Among all of them, best selling model with 75.000 units during this 2016 is the BYD Tang SUV. The second and third best-selling models are the Kandi Panda with about 55.000 units and the Zotye Cloud with about 25.000 units accumulated in 2016.
These numbers are given in China thanks to the heavy aid that the government local offers to buyers to purchase these types of vehicles. In addition, another feature is that 96 percent of electric cars sold in the country are made locally and therefore they are much more competitive in price than those imported from other countries.
