This improves the Citroën C-Elysée 2017

Citroen C-Elysée 2017

A few minutes ago we published our test on the Volkswagen Jetta. In the article we recalled that much of the blame for the drop in sedan sales and the compact three-volume body had been originated by SUVs, which have been on the rise for several years. However, there are still vehicles with sedan bodywork for those who are not convinced by these two concepts all the way and are not very fond of minivans either. Today the double chevron mark shows us the Citroën C-Elysée update.

The Citroën C-Elysée arrived on our market in 2012, and now receives a mid-life update. Since its launch, it has never been a model that stood out for its aesthetics, nor for its extensive equipment or its high quality of finishes, but for being a economical car that offered low consumption and decent roominess and cargo space. This update aims to partially improve these “weaknesses” of the French sedan.

Aesthetically it wins some points thanks to a slightly redesigned front in which we find an updated grille, new headlights, LED lights, renewed bumper and fog lights with new shapes and some chrome contours. The only change behind comes from the hand of pilots with a new design. On the other hand, they appear new tire designs in 16 inches and two new shades for the body color.

As to interior equipment, a new system is now available infotainment and navigation via a 7-inch touch screen in the center console that has Citroën Connect Radio with Bluetooth, AndroidAuto and Apple CarPlay, in addition to offering real-time traffic information. It has also received a redesign in the instrument panel with a screen between the two dials for on-board information in the highest finishes.

This Citroën sedan, which, by the way, is produced at the Vigo plant, will hit the market in the first quarter of 2017 for a price that is still unknown.
