As had been speculated, the official presentation of the production Cupra Formentor will take place at the Geneva International Motor Show. It will be then when the Spanish firm discovers how they have evolved the design lines that we already know from the concept. To announce their presence at the Swiss event, they have published a dark teaser in which they show part of the rear.
The image is not very revealing, although enough to understand what we are dealing with. Correct, we can see the “C” pillar and the line of lighting formed by the optical groups located at the rear. If we compare this snapshot with those previously published to publicize the concept, we can see that the evolution is limited. Therefore, we have a wide and stretched "C" pillar finished off with an integrated spoiler on the rear window. The power line ends at the optical groups, which have LED technology and are joined in the central area. The finish between the moon and the gate is not appreciated clearly, but surely it maintains the shape seen in the concept. If the front maintains the imprint of the first advance, we are facing one of the most original models on the market.
As for the mechanics, we understand that they will maintain the already announced scheme. This is a plug-in hybrid powertrain that will deliver a power close to 245 hp. You don't have to be a lynx to understand that it will be shared with the new Cupra León, although there could be some difference in terms of its set-up.
