As many of you know, Dallara is a manufacturer of racing chassis recognized worldwide. His products can be found from Indycar to supercars like Bugatti, reaching Formula E. He also participated in Formula 1 with the HRT F110, in addition to many other teams.
According to Dallara, the Stradale has been produced to “rediscover the real pleasure of driving both on the road and on the track”. The new Italian sports car has a chassis made of carbon fiber and aluminum in order to reduce the weight of the vehicle as much as possible.
Thanks to the materials used in its mechanics, the Italians from Dallara have achieved a weight of 855 kilograms for his Stradale, placing it close enough to rival Lotus' English sports cars.
"The Stradale has been produced to rediscover the real pleasure of driving both on the road and on the track."
Under the hood, or rather the rear, since it has a centrally arranged propeller, we find the same engine that mounts the Ford Focus RS, a 4-liter 2,3-cylinder displacement that has been modified to provide 400 horsepower at 6.200 revolutions and a torque of 500 Nm available between 3.000 and 5.000 revolutions.
All this power is transmitted through the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox - there is an automatic version with paddles on the steering wheel. Its acceleration is 3,25 seconds from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour and is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 280 km/h. Not bad for such a light vehicle.
Its design is the most extravagant. It has gull-wing type doors and its roof is removable. With this we will go from being mounted on a sports coupé to driving a targa-type convertible. In addition, it is capable of adding a large spoiler as an option that will provide 820 kilograms of downforce, a beast.
