Ferrari F40
The quintessential supercar. Manufactured to commemorate the forty years of Ferrari, this car stands out for giving sensations that have not been noticed in any other car. Austerity everywhere, weight of only 1100 kilograms and a 8 hp V478 Biturbo engine make this Ferrari one of the most fun, wild and of course indomitable in history, because if there is something this car has, it is that it is difficult to push to the limit, and not so much to the limit.
Let's not forget that Ferrari conceived this car as a competition car that complied with just enough regulations to go on the road, which incidentally made it the most expensive car in the world: 40 million pesetas.
Mazda MX-5 Mazdaspeed (NB2)
Because in life not everything is expensive cars and because from time to time you like to go a little more discreet than with a supercar without giving up some hilarious sensations. The MX-5 is the best-selling roadster in history, one of the cars that conveys the most sensations for a reasonable price, and in the Mazdaspeed version that is multiplied by two, since it has a 178 hp thanks to the turbo which is incorporated into the standard 1.8 engine.
It also has larger rims, a somewhat more aggressive aesthetic kit and a configuration to roll to the limit more aggressively. In short, it is the quintessential roadster with a little pepper. Some of you may be skeptical about this choice, but I have an MX-5 and I can say that in sensations/price nothing comes close.
Audi RS4
Traveling is something that everyone does and of course in the two previous cars it is not exactly a comfortable task due to the harshness of their behavior, something that is obviously mitigated in a saloon no matter how radical it is. And this is it.
The Audi RS4 may not be as quick around a circuit as the M3, but to me aesthetically she has me in love in any of its generations. High-performance engines so that we burn gasoline without hesitation, comfort inside with equipment to the brim and my only request: the mythical blue color that suits this model so well.
Caterham Superlight R500
When Caterham acquired the license to build the Lotus Seven, few imagined that in 2012 it was going to continue manufacturing, selling and of course enjoying all over the world, and if there is a word that defines this car, it is fun.
The Superlight R500 has a Ford 2.0 engine that produces 263 hp, which allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 in less than three seconds thanks to the fact that it only weighs 506 Kg, which means 520 hp per ton or whatever it is. the same: he plays in the Bugatti Veyron league.
The price is about 50000 euros, affordable if we have previously been able to buy an F40.
Ford GT40
This last choice has not been easy, but I have always been in love with the Ford GT40 -the original- and I sincerely believe that it deserves a place.
Fall in love with his 40-inch height -he's incredibly short-, for its incredible 908 Kg of weight or for its central rear eight-cylinder engine that pushes with enormous force and above all for a design in which time remains static and unchanged, since more than forty years later it has not gone out of style and never will.
Others like the Lamborghini Miura may have laid the foundations for the road, but this is the best car from a brand to which we owe a large percentage of today's cars: Ford.
