Peugeot already announced a couple of months ago the incorporation of a microhybridized motor for two of their models, the Peugeot 3008 and 5008. Now they are officially on sale and, therefore, we have the prices of both the SUV-C and the SUV-D of the gala brand. But let's review the characteristics of this engine with eco label, which is available in all trim levels.
This new microhybrid version features a 1.2 liter gasoline engine three-cylinder turbo, which is mated to a DCT gearbox 6-speed, which integrates inside a small 28 CV electric motor, which is powered by a 48 volt electrical network. The MHEV system battery is very small, as it does not reach 1 kWh of capacity.
Both in the Peugeot 3008 and in its older brother, the Peugeot 5008, this engine is commercially known as Hybrid 136 e-DCS6. The autonomy is minimal, but unlike other microhybrids it can move the car in 100% electric mode, although only for approximately 1 kilometer and at speeds of less than 30 km/h, according to the French brand.
The reduction in fuel consumption will not be very noticeable (Peugeot says that up to 15%), but at least all customers of this mechanic in the 3008 and 5008 of the French brand will be able to wear the DGT Eco label on the windshield. Of course, it is an advantage when accelerating, since the mechanical assembly react more immediately.
"After this novelty, all Peugeot passenger cars have at least one electrified version"
As for Prices is concerned, the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid 136 is available from 35.540 euros in its access equipment level, which is the Active Pack. For its part, in the case of the 5008 Hybrid 136 we will have to pay 37.740 euros for that same access termination with the 48-volt microhybrid motor.
