The weekend is approaching, and it is full of motorsport with the second race of the season F1 2018 in what will be the Bahrain GP from the Sakhir circuit. A circuit in which they will have to complete 57 laps of the track in the midst of such extreme weather, covering a total distance of 308,484 kilometers for the length of 5,412 km of each lap. Over that distance you need a good engine for the long straights, which could leave the Renault and Honda engines a bit further behind than we saw in Australia.
So unfortunately it will go back to being a weekend for Mercedes and Ferrari, most likely with a victory for Mercedes if they do everything right and don't make mistakes like the one that took away first place at the last Australian GP. The truth is that all these mistakes pay off especially at the end of the season, when the points are tighter and there is little room to make mistakes like those that can be made when you have a good cushion of points...
We will almost certainly see more overtaking than in Australia, since it is a somewhat more suitable circuit for it, although three DRS zones like those of Albert Parck are not added. And by the way, at cumming at night (it will start during the day and end at night), apart from the very special vision that can be seen on TV, it will also allow us to watch it in the afternoon without having to get up early in Europe. So it is appreciated that it is not the hours of the first race. I suppose that this will also encourage the number of fans watching the screen, which in Australia seems to have been quite decent compared to other years according to Movistar, the only alternative in Spain to watch it...
