interesting career in F1 Monaco GP 2018 with the Pirelli tires as protagonists because of how unpredictable they have been. Everyone thought that the softest compounds with which they made the classification yesterday would be the best, but some daring like Bottas and Fernando have ridden the hardest of the three compounds with very good results, while those who have put the softest have had serious problems maintaining uncertainty until the end. The victory was taken by Daniel Ricciardo with a Red Bull with problems in its electric motor that did not deliver power, despite this he was able to keep Vettel behind.
Very good Red Bull race that here they had a lot of pace, also in the points Verstappen who started last and was able to take advantage of the pace of his car and the problems of those in front to climb up little by little and come back. One of those who had problems was Fernando Alonso, everything was going very well for him and when he was in 7th place after making his stop and halfway through the race, his Renault engine had a similar problem to Ricciardo's, but he was also added another gearbox problem that has made him abandon parking his car. Problems for the French engines and they have not yet implemented their planned update due to reliability problems on the test bench… It does not look too good.
A Carlos Sainz, who was behind Fernando Alonso at the start of the race, did not go too well. He stopped early, losing a lot of positions and then he put the softer compound with the problems that we have mentioned and that those above also had. He was relegated to that position so far back and finally had to give way to his teammate Hülkenberg due to team orders, something that made him lose a little time and that Max Verstappen also passed him, who was right next to Nico. That has been another two positions further back for the man from Madrid.
As for overtaking, well, this is Monaco and there have been few, very few. But like I said, the Pirelli tires and the surprises they are giving have put the pepper that has been lacking in the layout of the principality. It is rare, but we have already seen in these past races how with harder tires they could make even better times than those who went with the softer ones in qualifying. It is quite curious this characteristic that seems to occur in some layouts and with certain compounds. And all this despite the temperature conditions that have dropped and that should be worse for the harder compounds. Amazing!

Rare that there is no Safety Car in Monaco either, but this year it seems that it has been the exception that confirms the rule. They just put in VSC with Leclerc's accident against Hartley because the brake disc of the Sauber has exploded when leaving the tunnel and has taken the Toro Rosso ahead. The next stop It will be on the weekend of June 10 at the Canadian GP and the following weekend we will have Fernando Alonso in the Toyota to compete in the 24 hours of Le Mans...
