The next generation of the Ford Kuga will leave Almussafes again

The American manufacturer Ford He has been fighting for several years so that the accounts in the European market square up. One of the first moves he made was close a couple of production centers and move their assembly lines to the plant they have in Almussafes in Valencia (Spain). From this important center, models such as the Kuga, Tourneo and Transit Connect, Mondeo, S-Max and Galaxy.

Almussafes It ships about 90 percent of its annual production to more than 75 markets where the brand is present, including the United States. In addition, it is the factory on the continent that manufactures the most models of the brand and the largest volume, which is why it has become a reference center for Ford. Being this way, it is not surprising that the signature of the blue oval has decided that the next generation of the Kuga is reassembled exclusively at this plant.

So that the next iteration of the American compact SUV can be manufactured in Spain, Ford has decided to make an investment at the Almussafes plant in more than 750 million euros. With this amount, the total sum of investments of the brand in the Spanish plant amounts to around 3.000 million euros since 2011. With this new investment, more than 8.000 workers will be employed throughout the entire production chain in the region. The main points towards which it will be directed will be to strengthen and improve productivity and efficiency.
