A new scandal of almost stratospheric size is looming over the European automobile sector. Last week they uncovered the managements that for years have been executing the groups BMW, Daimler AG and Volkswagen (with Audi and Porsche included). The practices they carried out went against free competition, since they agreed on actions in such delicate aspects as development of diesel mechanics and methods to get rid of contamination. However, this story could lead to others that are not very well known how they will end.

One of them is the one between BMW and Daimler AG. Both German groups they have been working together for many years and their collaboration basically focuses on the area of components. In addition, they recently announced that their collaboration would extend to the development of a network of charging stations for their electric cars that should be operational by 2020. However, all jobs seem to have been frozen as reported by the German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung.

If we remember (it is not necessary to go back much in time) the scandal talking on collusive practices between BMW, Daimler AG and Volkswagen Group has been uncovered by the latter two. The first has not said this mouth is mine, but once guilt has been admitted by the other actors, there is little defense for the first. This situation would have been transferred directly to the collaboration agreement between BMW and Daimler AG.

This move is perceived as natural retaliation by a betrayed partner. BMW would have been seen, by surprise, with his ass in the air after uncovering the corruption case and freeze this collaboration program there would be his reaction. Logically, the economic package that is going to be for the three groups will be high, but for now, BMW is taking care to share more data with this partner, and more knowing that it has already betrayed him.

For now, those responsible for BMW and Daimler AG have communicated that the development of the network of chargers for electric cars continues, because it is not a job in which only they participate. They have not said anything about the rest of the points on which they were working, but as the saying goes "he who is silent gives" and BMW seems to be giving to everything that is being published in the media.
