Honda Insight vs. Toyota Prius

prius-1

As I said yesterday, my initial intention was to be able to test the Insight and the Prius and be able to compare them. And what better place than a car show, where everyone wants to make themselves known, promote themselves, show what's new and sell. Or maybe it isn't? It may only be interesting to maintain the forms with a specific sector of the attendees, in which it seems that I am not included.

For well over half an hour we were hanging around the Honda stand, requesting the attention of up to four different commercials, three of those four times we were asked to wait a moment while someone was free to attend us. At no time did they remember us, they went back and forth talking to each other, serving potential customers who came long after us. The decision was clear: "I'm going to the Toyota stand."

insight-2

Said and done, it was to arrive at the information area, request information and tests, they took the data and in 20 minutes we were already testing the iQ and then the Prius would come. They did not put any problem and, from the first moment, I made it clear that my intention was not to buy, but to test the cars to be able to write about it.

insight-1

Later I will talk about the sensations on board the Prius, but I want to make it clear that the attention they gave me at the Honda stand seems regrettable. I will not extend it to the entire distribution network, but those specific people prejudged us by our age and appearance. Considering that its offer goes through cars that are focused on a public in which I include myself (Civic, Jazz) and that its slogan is "the hybrid for everyone", perhaps they should rethink recycling some of their vendors. Leave those who request information waiting to enjoy a catering or talk to the models present, it seems to me of a very doubtful professionalism. And in case anyone is wondering, I've been in sales for six years out of the last seven, so I know what I'm talking about.

Yes, gentlemen, Honda's treatment of the young public at the Barcelona Motor Show was LAMENTABLE and DENIGRATING.
2 of the commercials to whom I requested information laughed in my face. With that, I think I made clear the impression they gave of their brand, which is supposed to take more care than ever in these times to serve the audience as it deserves. My car is 7 years old and I was interested in learning about a hybrid car for the next acquisition, but with such treatment I doubt that I would get any closer to learning about any Honda model.
I know what it means to have a business and how you should act to try to give a good image, because although I am young I have one, and I am very clear that if any worker in my company behaves in such a way, I would pull my hair out, at least .
    Shameful.

Impressed I have been. I don't know what would be around the heads of the people of Honda, but I suppose that for an entire Auto Show you don't put in front of your stand, representing your brand, gentlemen with not only little gift for people, but already rude.
For my part, the few dealings I have had with people from Honda have always been good, I hope they have not been the exception

I corroborate all the comments about the attention of the Honda commercials. I have been to a dealer several times and although the treatment was not bad, the truth is that I have not yet been able to test the INSIGHT. In any case, I am convinced that the PRIUS III is far superior.

I was not there, I cannot speak about it, I only know that we reap what we sow…. that what we think and give it a lot of thought ends up becoming reality,…. My partner and I looked at and tried the Insight in Galicia and in Madrid, because she is registered there and I in Madrid, in the end we bought it there, thanks to the help from Galicia,... we have been with it for 40 days, we have done 5300 km and we are delighted…. So….. let's sow good thoughts and reap a good harvest,….. Hugssssssssssss

Regarding the subject, I also want to add that Honda's service is definitely terrible here in Peru, it is! On several occasions I have had the opportunity to access their premises and I have been surprised that they attend in a way that is not pleasant for those interested who think about the new acquisition. Then as a second option, and I think it was a very good option, I accessed the Toyota dealers from the first moment I saw the interest of the sellers by being friendly with the public, without showing traits of superficiality, in conclusion they serve the public equally in In general, I now own a Toyota Rav4 (taken care of by Enrique Heredia, who by chance appears on the forum, I don't know if it's the one haha), thank God I got a wonderful car, therefore, as a buyer and fan Regarding the vehicles, I hope that this Honda company is capable of innovating the sellers in giving first class attention, since the vehicle, although it is very good in all aspects, does not mean that one is going to ignore or treat the sellers reluctantly. Buyers, now as my own opinion I advise everyone to opt for Toyota (the most developed Japanese in automobiles).

I haven't been to the BCN show, but this afternoon I stopped by a Honda dealer in Lugo to try an Insight. Of pity. They have not let me try it (they have sold the one they had on the last table and the "commercial" one does not even bother to tell me when they are going to have one or where I can try it. They must expect me to buy the car simply from the outside. I do not think they have given me either taken seriously, because they haven't even given me a measly piece of paper with the equipment, a price or a catalog. Great. Well, I'm going to Toyota.

Well, I've been to the Honda dealership in Logroño and the truth is that they treated me very kindly and in fact they let me try the car without any problems. And I am very happy with the treatment I have received. But unfortunately the car is a bit small for my needs, so I opted for a Prius.
