It was at the 2019 New York Auto Show when the Asian firm presented the HabaNiro. It was about a compact SUV which, unlike its predecessor, was only available with an electric powertrain. The announcement of the presentation of the new Kia Niro has arrived along with these teasers. With them, the brand wants to give clues about the aesthetics that it will wear, although you don't have to be a lynx to understand their work. The design they have used to shape the exterior takes much of the detail seen in the HabaNiro. The darkness of the images does not allow it, but it seems that they would have discarded those more expensive and complicated to produce.

That is, it will show off a powerful front that will not lack the prototype LED daytime running light. The same happens with the rear, since the optics are upright and have the shape of a boomerang. The bodywork will no longer show some lines of expression and, to the joy of the most "traditional", it will add two rear doors. Inside doors, the style used differs because it seems that the dashboard and controls will be similar to those of the EV6.

And up to here we can read because the other details of his physiognomy are unknown. Regarding his technique, it is known that the new Niro will not make use of the E-GMP platform used by the Ioniq 5 and EV6. In this case, it would make use of an evolution of its base to continue offering hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric options. Of course, Kia is working to increase the capacity of the battery and thus be able to offer more autonomy and efficiency.

However, these and other details will be known in a matter of hours. According to the official press release published by Kia, the debut of the new Niro will take place on November 25. In it, they also say that it is faithful to the "Opposites United" design and that it fulfills the spirit of "Joy for Reason" with its bold, practical and ecological construction.
