The latest generation of the Kia Sportage is a real sales success. The evolution that it has experienced with respect to its predecessor has been such that today we can consider it a direct, strong rival to the Tiguan that Volkswagen sells us. To reach this new status, the Korean firm has played its cards with a attractive design and risky that has been greatly appreciated by clients from the Old Continent. But be careful, it's not just a pretty face and that's it.
Kia knew that to succeed it had to offer a high quality of interior execution. All completed at the highest level with technological and security features that were flawless even in the access versions. With respect to its mechanical offer, more of the same has happened since it includes gasoline and diesel thermal versions with electrified options. As you already know the current iteration of the Kia Sportage (NQ5) hit the market in 2021. In these three years his rivals have evolved a lot but they have not been able to dethrone him in terms of aesthetic originality. So that everything continues like this, the brand will subject it to a restyling that will modify a large part of its front appearance. Thanks to these renders that Kolesa has published we can get an idea, although its evolution will bring it closer to the EV range.
The front will be some larger optics with horizontal and vertical LED strips and “T”-shaped design. With them it will shape the Tiger Nose grill that will have the Kia logo in the center and below it will show off a larger grill that serves to ventilate the engine. Below there is a redesigned bumper which will include a lower air intake for the radiator with newly designed fog lights. For its part, it seems that the side will not undergo major changes.
In this area there will be no shortage new alloy wheels with exclusive designs or a "C" pillar that could receive a chrome molding as decoration. At the rear it is expected that there will be a minor evolution with a new bumper in which there will be space for a more attractive diffuser. Refering to evolution of optics they are expected to be more angular inside but the camouflage of the units seen does not allow them to be seen clearly.

For now we do not know how the interior of the renewed Sportage will evolve. As you know, there is a long-wheelbase version that is sold in South Korea and selected countries and then the one that reaches Europe. The changes themselves must be the same with upwardly revised materials and a higher technological level. The habitability and trunk space should not change because there will be no changes to its platform or significant technical changes.
This means that its mechanical offer will remain one of the broadest in the C-SUV segment in Europe. So they won't be missing micro hybrid, pure hybrid and plug-in hybrid petrol and diesel versions. What we could see is a review of its engines to improve their performance while reducing consumption. The brand could also increase the electric autonomy of its hybrids, but until it debuts we will not know.
