Los Angeles Auto Show Hosts Volkswagen ID Space Vizzion Concept

Thus, it maintains an air to the ID.3 that we already know, such as the headlights or front grill. Even so, it presents new elements, typical of a concept, such as the LED strip that embraces the front and logo, or the lower bumper, with this technology at its ends.

La side view is new up to the "B" pillar, featuring flowing and simple lines. In this area, we can see some muscular wheel arches dressed by generously sized alloy wheels. As a differential note, there are the hidden door handles or a descending roof line highlighted by a contrasting appliqué. This situation should not compromise interior roominess or boot capacity.

If we go behind, here we find the area with more personality. The rear window, of medium size, is crowned by a discreet spoiler. Further down, following the waistline, are the LED optical groups which, in the central zone, are united. Lastly, the bumper features simple, clean lines. Altogether, the aerodynamics of the ID Space Vizzion Concept is outstanding, since it presents a Cx of 0,24.

Futuristic interior, to the taste of the "techies"

If we go to Volkswagen ID Space Vizzion Concept interior, the sensations are very pleasant. The predominant element is technology, standing out above all things, the great 15,6-inch central touch screen. Through it, the driver and passenger will manage all the driving, infotainment or safety functions. Your information is supplemented by the digital instrument cluster which is located behind the wheel.

This is a new coinage, also presenting, touch shortcut controls and a lot of piano black. However, the lines that shape the dashboard and adjacent areas are clean and simple. Note the absence of selectors for motor and battery management or the miniscule of the ventilation outlets. The counterpart comes from the hand of a habitability that, a priori, should be as generous as the trunk capacity.

4MOTION all-wheel drive or electric mechanics

La technical part of the Volkswagen ID Space Vizzion Concept is another of its strengths. Thanks to the use of modern and modular MEB platform, you can enjoy two electric motors or various battery configurations. Thus, the model exhibited at the Los Angeles Auto Show can be 4MOTION all-wheel drive or propulsion. The first comes with a 205 kW motor (275 CV) that can be 250 kW (340 hp) in the second.

To feed, it has a 82 kWh capacity lithium ion battery. According to the WLTP homologation protocol, it allows an average autonomy of 590 kilometers. As a whole, it enjoys remarkable features, with a step from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 5,4 seconds.
