Thanks to the colleagues from Cochespias we have had access to the Spy pictures of the new Mazda MX-5 test mule. If you look closely, you may still be disappointed, but behind that thin and short layer of camouflage there seems to be something new. In addition, we must also mention that the captured unit has the bodywork painted in white. And you will wonder why? Well, very simple, to make it more difficult to capture the changes...
Bearing in mind that Mazda does not make it easy for us, we will indicate where are the changes of the MX-5 NE. If we start from the fact that it will keep the platform of the current one, it is appreciated that the rear fenders look a little wider. This could be due to a wider track width although the wheelbase seems to be the same as the MX-5 ND. In addition, there are some cables that go just in front of the rear wheels.
To prevent them from being appreciated, they are painted white and seem to be covered with an adhesive tape in the same tone as the bodywork. This detail, although insignificant, indicates that they are testing some kind of technology that could be related to the powertrain or with the calibration of some electronic system.
