The design of the MG E-Motion escapes thanks to the leak of its patent

SAIC needs MG to recover its position in the European market. Since it went bankrupt, back in 2005, its activity has been limited to the Asian market. The reason for this is simple: its latest models left much to be desired in terms of quality and reliability. Chinese money has helped to reverse, in part, this situation, but not even the United Kingdom believes the evolution. It is because of that they want to appeal to your heart.

And how do you get to the depths of a customer's heart? Simple: offering you a model that makes you vibrate. That should be easy for SAIC, because MG has a long tradition of passionate models. The latest test came in the form of a prototype, which we thought had been left behind. But no, it has not been like that, because these images confirm that the MG E-Motion has continued its development technical, and above all, aesthetic.

The MG E-Motion combines features and lines of well-known models

If you do a little memory you will be able to remember that We have already told you about the MG E-Motion. This model, which sported a spectacular silhouette, has mutated to a more logical and rational body. His charm is not the same, although seeing the images of the patent neither can we say that it lacks personality. However, its proportions and some volumes are reminiscent of the occasional Aston Martin model.

As a whole, it stands out for offering a front that, without being exact, presents a grill in the style of the one mounted on Aston Martin models. The side view is very fluid, with marked wheel arches and a very marked hip line. The rear three quarters and the rear are also similar to those seen in another model that is no longer for sale: the Peugeot RCZ. They give him away shape of its optic groups and the integration of the third volume.

Be that as it may, the leak of the MG E-Motion design does not have to imply its arrival. Very few details are known of this model, although in its day SAIC announced that it would enter production in 2021. They first targeted 2020 but plans have been postponed. We will have to see how they evolve and most importantly, how they finish this project that, as we all know, will not monopolize the largest number of sales of the brand.
