One of the worst feelings for any person is to be robbed. Cars have always been a sweet target for thieves for multiple reasons. Thanks to the report published by We are sure, an initiative promoted by UNESPA, we can know which are the most stolen cars in Spain.
This study claims that Most stolen cars in 2019 in Spain they were, in this order, the Seat Ibiza and León, Volkswagen Golf, Ford Focus and BMW 3 Series. But they are far from all new or very recent models, since the first positions also include vehicles such as the Citroën Xsara or the Peugeot 206.

Those in charge of this study comment that the priority for the friends of others they are the best-selling and veteran cars. They are looking for these high-volume cars, among other things, because the demand for spare parts for repairs, either due to accidents or breakdowns, is very high.

In addition, they report six out of ten robberies are carried out by models between 11 and 25 years old; or what is the same, those most likely to need replacements. They “take” 60% of the thefts. Meanwhile, cars less than five years old only account for 18% of thefts.

Provinces with higher and lower probability of theft
Seville, Madrid, Huelva, Barcelona and Guadalajara are the five provinces where the most robberies occurred in our country during 2019. Conversely, those with the least probability of theft were those in the north and northwest of the peninsula, specifically Cantabria, Lugo, Pontevedra, La Coruña and Asturias.
