New BMW 4 Series and M4 2024: The update we expected

As for the engines, The 4 Series Coupé and 4 Series Convertible offer a choice of gasoline and diesel engines, with four and six cylinder blocks and powers ranging from 184 HP to 340 HP. All engines are associated with an eight-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox and there are rear-wheel drive and xDrive all-wheel drive versions. The six-cylinder engines and the base diesel are electrified with 48-volt mild hybrid (MHEV) technology. The MHEV versions carry the DGT's ECO environmental badge. As for the engine, the new M4 has a 3.0-litre six-cylinder M TwinPower Turbo petrol engine. This engine is available in three power levels: 480, 510 and 530 HP. The 480 HP engine is associated with a six-speed manual gearbox, while the other two have an eight-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission. The 480 and 510 HP versions have rear-wheel drive, while the most powerful 530 HP version has the M xDrive all-wheel drive system. The latter can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3,5 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h, which can be increased to 290 km/h with the M Driver package.
