Nissan GT-R (X) 2050 Concept You can't imagine how it drives! You'll see…

El Nissan GT-R is one of modern classics most sought after by fans of the motor world. It is for this reason that giving it a well-deserved relief brings those responsible for the Japanese firm down the street of bitterness. Every time they launch a new generation they improve it, but as seen in several installments, commercial success has not always been the same. Now we can meet the 2050 Nissan GT-R(X), an exercise that comes straight from the future.

And it is not because it comes from an era that we have not yet reached, but from the mind of a young designer. We refer to Jaebum “JB” Choi one of the students who has graduated from the ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California. To finish his studies he had to do a project and he couldn't think of a better idea than to create a successor to the GT-R. And he liked the Japanese firm so much that they gave him a scholarship at Nissan Design America.

The Nissan GT-R (X) 2050 Concept is driven lying on its stomach!

And many of the faithful to the GT-R will ask themselves, how does this concept look like the mythical and original? Nothing really, but its creator wants update your sports essence. Still, there are familiar design cues like the V-Motion grille and quad taillights. Regarding the size, we must say that appearances are deceiving. Yes, because it reaches 2,9 meters in length, 1,53 meters wide and 65,8 centimeters high.

But one thing that separates this concept from any other is the seat position. To pilot the Nissan GT-R (X) 2050 the driver has to lie face down, with the head on the front train and the hands and feet on each wheel. They will also have to put on a special outfit that includes a helmet to connect the brain to the vehicle. Choi describes it as a futuristic exoskeleton-like wearable machine.

Everything indicates that the new Nissan GT-R will arrive with a hybrid mechanics

According to Choi's statements...

«Today's exoskeletons make people stronger when using mechanical structures. I tried to adjust to the size of a person's body as much as I could, as if I were using a car. I wanted to create a new form of machine that is not a vehicle to drive, it is the space where the machine and the human become one«

For his part, David Woodhous, Vice President of NDA

"His thesis was about demonstrate emotional connection that technology can create and the benefit it can offer customers. It was very exciting for the NDA team to help JB shape this idea as a 1:1 model.

As is obvious, the Nissan GT-R (X) 2050 will not reach the assembly line. Yes indeed, Choi will remain linked to the NDA so we should not be surprised if we see more models with his signature.
