As I told you in a previous post, I have attended the event in Brussels» Our future of mobility today«. It was held in the incomparable setting of Autoworld, a museum of the automotive past that curiously has served as the venue for a contest of ideas for the future of the automobile, transport and highway sector.

The European leaders of the automotive industry and 44 delegates between 18 and 30 years of age from more than 20 nationalities, winners of a European competition, have met in Brussels to discuss the future of mobility in collaboration with designers and executives from the most important car manufacturers in Europe
The group divided into small groups to work on four workshops: skills for the future, new mobile services, future technologies and urban communications of tomorrow; each group was led by an expert from major manufacturers in which they tried to develop 3-5 ideas to create an "idea book", which was presented to Summit participants such as members of the European Commission, MEPs and directors generals of the major manufacturers in Europe
The most discussed topics were green energy, technological advances, driverless cars and a more effective and dynamic public transport
This summit had an exhibition that advanced us future proposals. Daimler presented Bus Rapid Transit Solutions (BRTS), a concept for a mass transit system, especially buses. BMW invited to meet Concept Car Vision Efficient , which combines the performance of a BMW M model with the consumption and emissions of a modern small car. The FIA Foundation introduced a program that aims to cut the number of road deaths in half from 2011-2020. Ford unveiled a solar car. And Renault showed an electric car cut in half and much more.
I'll keep telling you...
