Peugeot Partner 2015, new face, efficient engines and more equipment

After learning about the restyling of the Citroën Berlingo, it was to be expected that the Peugeot Partner did the same. And so it has been, since the renewed lion van has been presented at the Algiers Motor Show, with changes that are practically identical to those of the Citroën. The revision affects aesthetics, equipment and engines, which are now more efficient and comply with the Euro 6 standard.

The most notable exterior change is found in the front, with a redesigned bumper which includes a new large front grille with a silver frame and the lion logo in the center, an element common to all versions. Then, depending on the finish, we can find fog lights and LED daytime running lights at the bottom, like the ones mounted on the Berlingo. The front bumper will be made of black plastic in the most basic finish, in body color in the others and with an off-road look in the Outdoor versions such as the one that heads the entry.

The Partner Tepee touring versions can now be fitted with new 16″ 8-spoke alloy wheels. The color palette adds two new options. Inside the changes focus on the upholstery and from the middle of the range onwards, the new 7 ″ touch screen on the dashboard, slightly modifying its design in its central part.

Classic functions such as the radio or Bluetooth can be controlled from the screen, but it also offers USB and AUX sockets, in addition to the optional browser. The multimedia system allows to be paired with smartphones with operating system Android e iOS, being able to handle some applications and use the MirrorLink function that replicates the screen of our terminal on the dashboard. It also has voice control.

In terms of equipment, he receives the Active City Brake, an automatic emergency braking system that allows you to avoid or reduce the consequences of an urban accident when driving at less than 30 km/h. The rear parking camera and the front parking sensors will also be optional. Traction control also reaches the range Grip Control It helps improve motor skills on slippery surfaces.

The range of engines is modernized to adapt to the Euro 6 standard. Among the diesels, the new BlueHDi of the PSA group, accompanied by two 1.6-liter VTi gasoline mechanics that the Citroën does not have. Co2 emissions are reduced by 15% on average.

And motor 1.2 PureTech Turbo 110 horsepower with six-speed manual transmission will arrive in the first half of 2016 to the Partner Tepee. The commercial versions will offer the HDi 1.6 of 75 and 90 horses in the Euro 5 versions until June 2016.
