Almost eight months have passed since the Bavarian firm officially announced that the BMW X2, the crossover brother of the X1 but with a more youthful and sporty aesthetic, would have its particular M version. However, it was not until this week that the company confirmed the launch of the BMW X2 M35i for our country, also communicating its price. We talk about $58.050.
Like any other M variant, putting to point has been carried out by M Performance, so it's not just an X2 with a more powerful engine, it's a real M. Plus, it has the honor of being the first BMW M to use a four cylinder engine, a 2-liter engine that we hope to see very soon in the hottest variant of the expected third-generation Series 1.
That said, and according to the German company, the BMW X2 M35i delivers 306 CV (between 5.000 and 6.500 rpm) and a torque of 450 Nm (between 1.750 and 4.500), which are sent to the ground through the all-wheel drive xDrive and previously passing through a converter-type Steptronic gearbox with 8 preset ratios.
This mechanical combination, together with a specific set-up, as well as the magic that electronics always perform, allows the first four-cylinder M to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in just 5 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 250 km/h. All this homologating a fuel consumption of 7 liters at 100.
Between most outstanding equipment of this BMW X2 M35i we can highlight the following:
- 8-speed automatic transmission
- 19-inch M light-alloy wheels
- Full LED lighting
- Sports Direction M
- M sport suspension
- M sport brakes
- M Performance double kidney in Cerium Gray
