You can now reserve your new BMW 530e iPerformance, and it's not expensive

BMW 530e iPerformance

BMW unveiled its new Series 5 shortly after last summer. Months later, just before saying goodbye to the year 2016, the German brand announced a plug-in hybrid variant that they had prepared for this model. This variant is called BMW 530e iPerformance and, among other things, can boast of an approved mixed fuel consumption that does not reach the 2 liters every 100 kilometers traveled.

The hybrid propulsion system is made up of the well-known 2 hp 184-litre four-cylinder petrol engine in addition to a new 95 hp electric drive. This society reaches, at maximum performance, a power of 252 hp and a torque of 420 Nm; so the thrust should be "pretty decent". This hybrid system is associated with an eight-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox. can do the 0 to 100 km / h in 6,2 seconds and reach a speed of 235 km/h.

The approved data say that this BMW 530e iPerformance has a consumption of 1,9 l/100 km and emits 44 g/km of CO2. Also, you can browse up to 50 kilometers in electric mode without emitting a single gram of CO2 and without wasting a drop of fuel. Another advantage is that you can park in regulated parking areas for free or circulate in the Bus VAO lane. Regarding charging times, it can be fully charged in 5 hours in a normal plug and in less than 3 hours in a BMW i Wallbox.

It is now possible to reserve a BMW 530e iPerformance in the network of official BMW dealers in Spain. Of course, the price of this plug-in hybrid is $60.500. It is about 2.000 euros more expensive than a BMW 530i xDrive of identical power (although with four-wheel drive) and about 1.400 euros cheaper than the BMW 530d that yields only 13 CV more.

1,9 liters in the first 100 km with full batteries or can you always spend that?

      Hey.

Indeed, it is in the first 100 km with full batteries. In any case, it is approved consumption, which we already know that in real driving the consumption will be somewhat higher.

      Gracias y saludos.
