The Bugatti Chiron's 0-400-0 record has lasted little, the Koenigsegg Agera RS is faster

A few weeks ago we were amazed with the Bugatti Chiron. The brand showed a video, with the Colombian pilot Juan Pablo Montoya at the controls, in which his famous hypercar managed to accelerate from 0 to 400 km/h and stopped again in just 42 seconds. We do not know what surprises us more, whether to go from 0 to 400 km/h in 32 seconds or to stop again in just 10 more seconds.

However, records are there to try to beat them. The French brand belonging to Volkswagen promised them very happily, but their figures have not lasted even a month. The Koenigsegg Agera RS has pulverized it completely. The exclusive Swedish model has taken, as they have published in the video that we see below, 36.4 seconds to do 0-400-0 km/h, needing only 2.535 meters to achieve this achievement.

The Koenigsegg Agera RS is a supercar that uses an engine 8-liter V5 with two turbos, which allows it to obtain a maximum power of 1.176 CV; but this unit had the advantage of an upgrade that increases its power up to 1.360 CV. The traction is not four-wheel drive, which is why this record is even more surprising, but rather all the energy of the engine is sent to rear axle having previously gone through a dual-clutch gearbox. Its main advantage is that it is also very light, with about 1.300 kilos of weight.

The Bugatti Chiron is more powerful, as its four-turbocharged W16 engine develops 1.500 hp; but his greater weight penalizes him notably against the Koenigsegg Agera RS. We are very afraid that the time to do the 0-400-0 km/h can become something similar to the fastest laps at the Nürburgring. The only difference is that anyone can run 20,6 km of the Green Hell, while few machines on this planet are capable of speeds up to 40 km/h.
