Renault City K-ZE, this is the new electric crossover of the French brand

Renault City K-ZE profile

Renault has been working with Power Plants, so much so that it is one of the pioneers in the European market. The Renault Zoe It was a complete success, a model that has been accompanied for some years by the Kangoo ZE and Fluence ZE, although the latter two have not suffered the same commercial success as the first. They have just introduced the Renault City K-ZE.

The Renault City K-ZE has been discovered just a few hours ago in the Shanghai Hall. It is a new urban model, although with a crossover aesthetic, which claims to be a vehicle affordable for all audiences. In addition, and although it has been presented in China and for China, says it is a global product, so it could soon reach Europe -although there is no official confirmation yet-.

China is one of the markets that is experiencing the greatest growth in the automobile sector and Renault does not want to miss its opportunity. The Renault City K-ZE aims to be a success among utility vehicles in the Asian country, and for this it has opted for a crossover aesthetic which, from what it lets us see in the images, is quite proportionate. The start of its commercialization is scheduled for the end of this 2019.

Renault City K-ZE rear

Despite its contained exterior dimensions and its 2.423 mm wheelbase, the Renault City K-ZE manages to obtain a 300-litre boot.

Although figures for performance, benefits, autonomy have not yet been declared, nor anything related to the technique of its batteries, the signature of the rhombus points out that domestic plugs and public infrastructures can be used for recharging. With fast charging methods it takes 50 minutes to charge from 0 to 80%, while on trickle charge it takes only 4 hours to fully recharge from empty.

On the other hand, it is important to note that Renault has indicated that by 2022 they will be producing no less than nine models in China, of which the majority will be SUV aesthetics and three of them electric vehicles. There is no doubt that the French car company wants to bet heavily on the Chinese giant.
