Since the Renault-Nissan Alliance acquired Mitsubishi Motors things have changed in the Franco-Japanese group. The incorporation (very soon) of the signature of the three diamonds has supposed to increase the global sales volume of the Alliance. This situation helps make it one of the three candidates (along with the Volkswagen group and Toyota Motor Corporation) to hold the throne of the best-selling group worldwide.

The first half of the year has already passed and the firms are presenting the main data. As announced by the Renault-Nissan Alliance during the first six months of the year, have sold a total of 1,88 million cars. This data represents a growth with respect to the same period of the previous year by 10,4 percent. All in all, the worldwide market share of the French-Japanese conglomerate is 4,1 percent (including Lada's operations).

As stated by Thierry Koskas, member of the executive committee and commercial director of the Renault Group

«we have broken a new record with more than 1,88 million vehicles sold in a semester» […] «our strategy of renewing the range and geographical expansion continues to bear fruit»

Within the Alliance, all the brands that make it up have seen their sales grow from one to two digits. The fastest growing firm es Nissan followed by Renault and Dacia. Within these, there are also differences, because if we talk about electric vehicles, the Nissan Leaf has not been the best seller, but the Renault Zoe.

In addition, sales have been very good in all the regions where they are present, since in none of the areas have seen their sales decline. Europe has performed more than well, providing a 10,8 per cent market share to the Alliance. In the Africa-East and Middle-India areas, the conglomerate's operations have grown to a market share of 6,4 percent.

The rest of the geographical areas have also been prone to the results of the Alliance. America is one of them and looking to the future of their plans will be vitally important. We will have to see how the year ends to know if he achieves the best-selling group title in the world and if his earnings are related to this fact.
