The replacement for the Lamborghini Huracán will arrive in 2024 and will be a hybrid

The purpose is to increase technical efficiency and reduce manufacturing costs in the plant that the Italian brand owns in Sant'Agata Bolognese.

However, the engine of the “new Aventador” (it is still unknown what its new generation will be called), it will be a V12 gasoline with 6,5 liters of displacement that in no case will inherit the "new Huracán" (Nor is it known if it will be called the same or have another trade name). It has recently been reported that the propellant in question will be accompanied by three auxiliary electric motors, thanks to which it will be possible to obtain a maximum combined power of more than 1.000 CV. With complete security, the smaller and "affordable" car of the two, will have a lower level of benefits.

In this sense, the thermal part of the system that drives the 2024 model will have “more than 6, but less than 12 cylinders”, without specifying if it will be a V8 or V10 which, in the end, will be installed in the rear central area of ​​the Huracán. It has been affirmed, with guarantees of its occurrence, that the combustion engine will be accompanied by one or more electric motors and a battery which will allow driving an indeterminate distance in EV mode (without direct CO2 emissions).

Lamborghini is mired, like most firms in this industry, in a deep process of electrification of its list of vehicles. The arrival of a Urus plug-in hybrid in the near term, as well as the first fully electric car from the bull company in 2028.
