Next-Generation Toyota Camry to Debut in Detroit

Toyota Camry

In the U.S Toyota has a reputation for making the best midsize sedans. I can attest to that as wherever you look you will find a Camry or a Corolla. This vehicle is very important for the Japanese firm and therefore the manufacturer I would be thinking of giving a generational relief to the that they currently have for sale. As reported by Toyota, the next generation of the Camry It will be unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show next year.

To warm up the atmosphere the firm has provided the only teaser so far of the new model. In it (as you can see in the image above) see the rear light of the car and some lines bumper with a more dynamic cut. This headlight seems thinner and longer than the one mounted on the current model. In addition, with the air outlet that accompanies the headlight, they wink at the headlights of the current Prius.

As confirmed by Toyota the new Camry should be for sale en los Estados Unidos in the third quarter of 2017. Bob Carter, senior vice president of Toyota Motor operations in the country, has mentioned that the new Camry has to fight in a market that only wants SUVs and Crossovers but believes that with the new design of the model they will be able to attract more consumers.

The next generation of Toyota's best seller in the United States will be manufactured on the modern and lightweight TNGA platform Of the brand. This allows the model to gain in spaciousness and driving comfort as the Prius has shown. Also, allows to reduce weight of the whole with respect to the current model, something that will help so that the consumption and emissions of its engines are reduced.

Respecto a its mechanical range the firm has not yet said anything but it is to be hoped that the cheapest model mount a gasoline mechanic with four cylinders and 2.5 liters of displacement. This motorization will be accompanied by a gearbox with six relations but it has not yet been confirmed if it will be manual or automatic.

I hope this model comes to Europe (as Ford has done with its Fusion) and the current Avensis has the well-deserved replacement it needs.
