Toyota Yaris 210 hp

Only 15 days do not separate from the opening day of 87 Geneva Motor Show, in which we will see novelties of all kinds and from a large number of manufacturers who will not want to miss the key event for the sector. Toyota will be one of the manufacturers present there and it will not arrive precisely "barefoot". At its stand, among other models, we will see the new Toyota Yaris and its high-performance variant, the Toyota Yaris GRMN.

This more performance version, they say from the brand, comes inspired and influenced by the brand's return to the World Rally Championship, the WRC. The sports utility vehicle introduces under its front hood a 1.800 cc with supercharging by turbo capable of yielding a power of 210 CV. This will place it in a power range similar to that of other B-segment cars such as the Opel Corsa OPC or the Peugeot 208 GTi.

As we learned earlier this year, the sportiest production Yaris ever made will rely solely on its three-door body; also only available with front axle drive. All of the above, together with its low weight, should allow it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in about 6,5 seconds. The sporty urbanite will pull all the guns out of it especially on mountain roads, the twistier the better. By the way, if you're wondering, GRMN stands for Gazoo Racing Masters Nürburgring.

In addition to this powerful engine, the Yaris GRMN brings with it adapted brakes to more demanding driving, tires of larger dimensions, chassis configuration specifically and probably a cabin with small differences in search of also offering greater visual sportiness. Regarding the transmission, it is more than probable that a six-speed manual gearbox and, in theory, the developments should not be too long. In any case, We will wait until the 7th to know each and every one of its details.
