Now that the first half of the year 2017 has closed, the different car brands are presenting the results they have obtained in this time period. Some, like the Renault-Nissan Alliance, have already come to the fore with more than good data, and others, like the Grupo Volkswagen They do it with discrete but very remarkable data for the storm they are experiencing.

El Europe's leading car manufacturer has stated that during the first six months of the year it has delivered 5,2 million cars. This data represents a sales growth of 0,8 percent compared to the same period last year. To reach this figure, the markets that have performed best have been Central and Eastern Europe. Within this group of countries, it has been Russia whoever has taken the baton of their registrations (+14,8 percent growth).

According to fred kappler, responsible for sales of the Volkswagen Group

"June was a very good month for the Group, since all the firms that make it up improve their results compared to the previous year” […] “in June alone, the Group's sales have grown by 4,2 percent, reaching 920 thousand units” […] “the stable growth in major regions they give us reasons to face the second half of the year with confidence”

Reviewing the main commercial areas of the German conglomerate, we have the following results. In Europe the increase in its sales has been 3,5 percent. In North America, deliveries have grown by a discreet 3,9 percent. In the southern part of the American continent, the first six months of the year have given the Volkswagen Group a growth in sales of 11,4 percent. Finally, in the area of Pacific Asia is where the Volkswagen Group has suffered a slight setback, as its deliveries have fallen by 2,7 percent compared to the same period in 2016.

These data are weighed down by the misbehavior experienced by sales of the German consortium during the First quarter of the year. However, they give air to the manufacturer who is coping in the best possible way with the adverse effects of Dieselgate. We will have to see how the year ends and if it is capable of revalidating the title of best-selling manufacturer in the world. Of course, the Renault-Nissan Alliance and Toyota Motor are not going to make it easy for them.
