In itself it makes all the sense because if you are going to spend several hundred thousand euros or the odd million, it is normal to ask for the best of the best. And although Bugatti, Lamborghini or Ferrari dominate in this area, models like the Zenvo Aurora who question it.
If you do a little memory you will remember that Zenvo Automotive is a small brand of ultra-exclusive and limited supercars. It is a Danish brand that in recent years has had for sale one of the rarest and most limited models, the TSR-GT with 1.360 hp. The Zenvo Aurora divides its range into two: Tur for "street" and Agil for "circuit"... with a direct effect on its look and weight...
On an aesthetic level, the Zenvo Aurora is a work of art "on wheels" and the proof is in the combination of lines. In the front it stands out for its sharp optics or the large air intakes of the bumper. And although it is powerful, the side view does not disappoint with very muscular wheel arches that reveal various technical and mechanical elements such as the suspension springs. Also its doors that in the opening displace part of the roof.
With everything the key to the design of the new Aurora is in the version we choose. Is the «tur» designed to circulate on the street and that has a "less" radical style. This is the version with a blue body that "in theory" is more elegant since it "disguises" its sportiness by having more painted elements. It also has alloy wheels of exclusive design and although the cabin looks fair, it presents a more elaborate and fine finish.
In return the Agile version (translated from Agile in Danish) is more radical because it is designed for circulate on the track. As a curious fact, to take into account, around 70% of the monocoque chassis made of carbon fiber is exposed to view. In this case there are also alloy wheels of our own design with a more radical look. But the data that marks the difference is their weight with less than 1.300 kilos for the Agile y 1.450 kilos for Tur.
The key is in its 6.6-liter V12 hybrid powertrain with four turbochargers and two power levels…
If the Aurora line is impressive, its hybrid powertrain is no less. Under her skin there is a 6.6-litre V12 engine from specialist Mahle Powertrain Equipped with four turbochargers that deliver 1.250 CV. But in this case the engine adds an electric motor to configure the Agile version with 1.450 hp and 1.400 Nm of torque. In this way it goes from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 2,5 seconds and signs a maximum speed of 365 kilometers per hour.
However the most powerful version is the Tur as its hybrid train adds two extra electric motors as well as total traction since they move the front end. In this case, the power of the set rises to 1.850 hp and 1.700 Nm of torque. The benefits offered by this version are heart-stopping with a step from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 2,3 seconds and a top of 450 kilometers per hour. As a curiosity, the two electric motors are an option in the Agil.
One version and another Agile and Tur, are managed through the same 7-stage automatic transmission. In this case, it has an electric motor that drives the reverse gear and also acts as a starter for the heat engine. The main difference between the two versions is in the map of operation. For now they do not give the data of the battery, although it should be around 2 kWh of capacity since it is limited to supporting the thermal engine.
When will the Aurora hit the market? How many will be made?
